Putin’s press secretary made this statement in an interview with China Media Group at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, TASS reports.

According to Dmitry Peskov, this conflict is a longstanding one, "has been going on for a long time, the combat phase has already been in its fifth year, that is a long time."
