War through the eyes of Meduza’s readers. Today we are publishing a letter from Diana in London

I donated money to Ukraine for the first time when the Russian Federation struck the Okhmatdyt children’s hospital. I remember the disgusting, hypocritical statements by the Russian authorities about it. And now it is Ukraine’s turn. What do they now call [drone strikes on Russian cities] in Ukraine, “long-range sanctions”? I don’t understand, is that supposed to be some kind of humor? Then it isn’t funny: that’s how my PE teacher joked in fifth grade when he handed out cuffs to the back of the head and called them “physical remarks,” when in fact he was simply beating small children. In the same way, Ukrainian politicians conveniently call their indiscriminate strikes on civilian facilities and residential areas “sanctions.” Sooner or later this will lead to something terrible. Stop this war!
