Nikol Pashinyan voted in the election and said tension in relations with Russia is being artificially created
"Relations with Russia have an institutional foundation and are based on mutual respect. Some forces operating in Armenia are trying to create tension in Armenian-Russian relations," Pashinyan said, adding that he has a "very close relationship" with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He added that Armenia cannot be stripped of its status as a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, since "all decisions there are made by consensus, Armenia has veto power, like all the other countries."
