Businessmen and officials close to Putin continue to buy Western business jets despite sanctions — The Wall Street Journal
Intermediary firms buy Bombardier and Gulfstream aircraft on the secondary market and register them in countries that have not joined sanctions against Russia (including the UAE, Oman, Kazakhstan, and South Africa), then ferry them to Russia, the newspaper writes.
For example, Rostec chief Sergei Chemezov uses a Bombardier Global 7500 jet worth about 75 million euros. He regularly flies on it to Dubai, Turkey, and Southeast Asia.
