Unfortunately, Lukashenko’s phrase "What, are we supposed to fight in Ukraine for someone else’s will, to be turned into minced meat there?" is TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT.

In reality, he did NOT say that he is against fighting in Ukraine on Russia’s side. He was saying that, supposedly, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya is pushing Belarusians to become "minced meat" on Ukraine’s side.

Full quote:

"Our chief ideologue [Svetlana Tikhanovskaya] told the Ukrainians: 'We have something to offer you' - that is a verbatim quote - 'these are our Belarusians.' So what, are we supposed to go fight in Ukraine for someone else’s will? Do we want to be 'minced meat' there, as the military say? No, we do not want that."

Unfortunately, he did not state that he would not go fight against Ukraine on the side of the Russian Federation.

That does not mean that he will go. But he did not say the phrase that he would not go fight on the side of the Russian Federation.

As always, I urge everyone to check the context when you see a fragment of a quote.
