Croatia will hand over to Germany a Ukrainian citizen suspected of involvement in blowing up the Nord Streams

The fact that the district court in the city of Pula allowed the extradition of Volodymyr Zhuravlev on September 18 is reported by Suspilne.

The Ukrainian’s lawyer called the decision biased and politically motivated. The defense intends to appeal it.

🔵Zhuravlev’s detention became known on August 19, 2026. According to investigators, he was one of the divers who attached bombs to the pipelines in the Baltic Sea.

🔵The outlet LTO claimed that the Ukrainian citizen was detained in Croatia during the filming of Doug Liman’s film “Snake Island,” devoted to the sabotage of the Nord Streams. Sean Penn and Adrien Brody play the lead roles in it.
