▪️We - economists, companies, investors, even officials - are all passengers in the passenger cabin of a plane that is going down with the acceleration of free fall.
▪️We discuss among ourselves what we should do to stabilize this plane, but the real power is in the cockpit - sound-insulated and soundproof, inaccessible to all these passengers.
▪️All any of us can do is pray that the pilot of the plane takes the controls in hand and pulls back on them, and only that will save us all.
