Ukraine tested a new interceptor missile

The FP-7.x missile is intended to counter ballistic missiles and drones and was developed as an alternative to expensive Western weaponry. Denis Shtilerman, chief designer of the developer company Fire Point, called the tests “quite successful.”

According to Shtilerman, one FP-7.x missile costs about $700,000, while the price of one Patriot PAC-3 missile reaches $3.8 million, according to U.S. Army budget estimates for 2026.
