Fire at the defense museum building in annexed Sevastopol has been contained
The entire 30,000-square-meter building burned out, TASS reports, citing the museum and builders. The museum’s dome may collapse.
According to the agency’s correspondent, several fragments of the “Defense of Sevastopol” canvas were taken out of the building; they are damaged. It is unclear whether these are fragments of the original canvas or of the copy made in the 1950s.
The fire at the museum occurred as a result of an attack by a Ukrainian drone, local authorities claim.
