Everything is fine in Armenia.
Everything is fine in Armenia.
With 58.8% of the vote counted in the parliamentary election, Nikol Pashinyan is winning decisively, taking a sole majority - 50.91%.
The results so far are as follows:
▪️Nikol Pashinyan ("Civil Contract") - 50.91%
Pro-Russian opposition:
▪️Samvel Karapetyan ("Strong Armenia") - 23.19%
▪️Robert Kocharyan ("Armenia Alliance") - 9.56%
▪️Gagik Tsarukyan ("Prosperous Armenia") - 4.16%
▪️The other 15 parties are getting tiny percentages and will not make it into parliament.
I congratulate the Armenian people on the only right choice.
Russia was not helped by military threats, nor by an embargo on "Jermuk" and apricots, nor by the $50 million poured in to bus 100,000 emigrants to polling stations.
It would actually be interesting if someone someday calculated how much money in total Russia has PISSED AWAY trying to bring its own candidates to power in post-Soviet countries. Of course, those sums are nowhere near what it spends on the war every day, but still.
Armenia continues on the path toward closer ties with the West and freedom from Russian influence, chosen in 2018, and Putin failed. Again.
P.S. Special regards to the prominent media outlets that published fake Kremlin exit polls (here and here, for example), according to which the pro-Russian opposition was supposedly winning - these are literally numbers for nonexistent exit polls drawn by the Kremlin, they were PHYSICALLY never conducted. They could at least do the bare minimum of checking - no, they slap up everything they see...
The channel "Bagramyan 26" competently debunked it. The election in Armenia continues to be covered by Ateo Breaking.
Fifty Million for a Clear Loss
Pashinyan takes a majority while the pro-Russian opposition trails badly.
Millions bought a cleaner defeat.
