The Digital Development Ministry and Roskomnadzor asked for Roblox to be unblocked in Russia

The Digital Development Ministry and Roskomnadzor agreed with the game-creation platform Roblox on terms for the “protection of the rights and interests of Russian users.” The ministry said the corporation acknowledged that the existing technologies for protecting children from information dangerous to their life and health are ineffective.

Roblox guaranteed that it would introduce a set of measures for additional child protection. Among other things, access to games will be restricted by age groups (Roblox Kids and Roblox Select). In connection with this, the Digital Development Ministry and Roskomnadzor appealed to the “relevant law enforcement agencies” to unblock Roblox.
