Nikol Pashinyan’s party won the election in Armenia with just under half of the vote

After all votes were counted, according to Armenia’s Central Election Commission, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party received 49.81% of the vote in the parliamentary elections and will be able to form the country’s cabinet on its own.

In addition to Civil Contract, the Strong Armenia party of Russian billionaire Samvel Karapetyan (23.29%) and the Armenia bloc of former President Robert Kocharyan (9.94%) made it into parliament.

Verstka’s sources in the Kremlin admitted that they were unlikely to be able to prevent Armenia’s ruling party from winning the election. And the goal of the pressure is to keep Yerevan in fear and “hold the post-Soviet space.”
