Yesterday, the European Commission officially proposed banning entry to the EU for all Russian servicemen who have served in the army since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This is part of the 21st sanctions package.

That means after the war, no Schengen. No tourism, no vacations, no work, no study, no trips to relatives in Europe. No Prague, no Berlin, no Spain. The door will slam shut forever.

First Europe, which will set a serious precedent, and then other countries around the world. First an entry ban, and then criminal prosecution of combatants. First restrictions for servicemen, then for their family members.

Rest assured: in time, they will get everyone, especially since full lists of Russian servicemen are available.
