For several years now, Putin has been calling war participants the “new elite,” while United Russia is openly helping them build political careers. Now this course is visible in the new composition of the State Duma as well: 49 war participants will receive deputy mandates from United Russia and become the people who will pass laws for the entire country — on the budget, taxes, social spending, and restrictions that will affect millions of people.

What is happening clearly shows the direction of Putin’s and United Russia’s politics: they will continue waging war, continue killing, destroying, and spending trillions from the budget on it.

War criminals must not receive deputy mandates, pass laws, or lead Russia — all of them must be held accountable in court.
