A hotel in Crimea offered guests free gasoline as a promotion, but amid the shortage the fuel ran out
One of the hotels in Saky offered guests 10 liters of gasoline when booking from two nights and 20 liters when booking from three nights. The hotel explained to the outlet Pod"yom that it used a small fuel reserve intended for electric generators for the promotion:
We do not have gasoline on an industrial scale. We ourselves, the staff, also stand in lines and buy gasoline for ourselves. We simply wanted to do something nice for the hotel guests, a small bonus, but it turned out that Ukrainian channels spun this a little not in the right direction.
We have electric cars at the hotel, we charge them without any problem, and, generally speaking, there are no problems with fuel in Crimea. So what? Everyone stands in line, and there's nothing страшного about it. This period will pass for Crimea too
According to the hotel's representatives, they gave 100 liters of gasoline to clients and assured that visitors responded positively to the promotion.
Four days later, write Ostorozhno, Novosti, the promotion had to be stopped because the gasoline ran out. Instead, guests were offered compensation for travel costs or a transfer.
A similar promotion also appeared at one of the sanatoriums in Alushta. There, guests are reimbursed for gasoline costs, up to 5,000 rubles, if they stay at the sanatorium for five days, Ostorozhno, Novosti writes.
🔵Annexed Crimea faced an acute fuel shortage because of Ukrainian drone attacks, which since May 22 have effectively controlled the federal highway R-280 Novorossiya, the only overland route for fuel supplies from Rostov Region to the peninsula. Fuel sales on the peninsula have been restricted.
🔵On June 8, the Energy Ministry created a headquarters to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the fuel and energy complex because of an increase in Ukrainian attacks, which are causing difficulties with fuel supplies in the south.
