State Duma bans the deportation of foreigners who fought in the Russian army

The corresponding government bill was adopted in the third reading.

Foreigners and stateless persons who served under contract and took part in combat operations "as part of the Russian Armed Forces or other Russian military formations" will not be allowed to be deported from Russia, TASS writes.

In addition, they may not be denied temporary residence permits, residence permits, or work permits. None of these documents may be revoked either.
