The State Duma approved new restrictions for “foreign agents.” They include more inspections and a ban on social advertising
Here are the restrictions the new law provides for:
✹ Banks will have to provide the Justice Ministry, within three days of its request, with information on the financial transactions, accounts, and deposits of “foreign agents.”
✹ Social advertising may not be placed on the websites and resources of “foreign agents.” “Foreign agents” also may not act as its заказчик.
✹ If the authorities refuse to remove a “foreign agent” from the relevant register, that person or entity will be able to file a new application only one year after the refusal.
✹ “Foreign agents” must submit reports to the Justice Ministry electronically rather than on paper, as they do now.
