The European Union announced a 21st sanctions package against Russia. What it will include
✹ A ban on entry into the EU for everyone who took part in the Russian-Ukrainian war on Russia’s side.
✹ Restrictions against another 31 Russian banks, as well as 20 banks, cryptocurrency companies, or platforms from third countries.
✹ Sanctions against 30 "shadow fleet" tankers and the vessels that help them.
✹ A ban on selling LNG tankers to Russia and the introduction of sanctions against ports trading in Russian energy resources.
✹ The price cap on Russian oil will remain unchanged, however (currently $44.1 per barrel) until January 2027.
