Anti-drone nets were installed on the highway near Putin’s residence in Valdai

Anti-drone barriers were installed above truck parking areas in the Valdai district of Russia’s Novgorod region. Photographs showing the protective nets were published on his Telegram channel by Oleg Kashin. According to him, the pictures were sent in by readers.

"Agentstvo" concluded that the photographs were taken on a highway 9 kilometers from Vladimir Putin’s residence in Valdai.

Such nets are installed at the front. They can protect against small drones or munitions dropped from unmanned aerial vehicles.

Ruslan Leviev, the founder of the investigative project Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT), suggests that the anti-drone nets are needed not to protect the trucks, but to protect against them.

As part of the Ukrainian operation "Web," drones were hidden in trucks. The unmanned aircraft flew out of the vehicles when they approached the military airfields that were the targets of the attack.
