Holy shit. As for the commander-in-chief, this is the best decision Zelenskyy could have made in the current situation. Drapatyi is the best possible candidate, period.
I can't help but post the legendary video from May 9, 2014, where Drapatyi, then still the commander of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, bursts into Mariupol in his BMP-2, a city seized by Russian occupiers and one that would be liberated after a month of fighting. Upd. The BMP-2 was being driven by driver-mechanic Dmytro Vorona. Drapatyi was inside the vehicle.
As for Fedorov, as I understand it, they will not bring him back, but will offer him some parallel position where he will be able to work on miltech. Though it's not a fact that Fedorov will agree. We'll see how it all unfolds.
The Crisis Gets a New Nameplate
Syrskyi was removed, Drapatyi was put in charge of the AFU.
Command got fixed with another name swap.
