Putin’s special envoy Kirill Dmitriev discussed settling the conflict in Ukraine with U.S. officials in Washington — Reuters

According to a Reuters source, the “constructive” talks also included discussion of Russian-American energy projects that could be implemented after the war ends.

The White House confirmed the same information to RIA Novosti. According to the agency, representatives of the U.S. Treasury Department and Department of Energy took part in the discussion.

Kirill Dmitriev was in Washington the day before, where he held meetings with U.S. officials to continue constructive discussions on a peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and possible joint initiatives in the energy sector after the end of the war,

the White House said in a statement to RIA Novosti.
