An equivalent of “Important Conversations” will now officially be held… in kindergartens. And that is very bad.

The classes will begin as early as September 1, will be called “Kind Games,” and, as envisioned by the Ministry of Education, will be devoted to spiritual and moral values.

To understand what awaits the still-unformed minds of preschoolers, it is enough to look at what “Important Conversations” have turned into in schools (obviously, they were intended to be this way).

Formally, this was presented as “conversations about values.” In reality, however, these are centralized lessons based on ready-made scripts, manuals, and directives that do not allow for discussion and lead to the “correct” conclusions.

If we single out the main substantive lines of these lessons, starting in 2022, they look like this:

🔶 War propaganda: the glorification of participants in the “special military operation,” obedience, frontline heroism, the “correct” memory of war, and the justification of the current war in Ukraine through historical parallels.

🔶 A cult of loyalty to the state: the “correct” attitude toward the authorities, toward the occupied territories, toward Russia’s allies, toward sovereignty, and toward Russia’s role in the world.

🔶 The Orthodox-conservative bloc: spiritual values, priests in schools, the blending of Orthodoxy and the state.

🔶 Demographic and family ideology: the large family, traditional values, aggressive rejection of LGBT people, the fight against abortions, and propaganda of early pregnancy.

In a number of cases, refusing such lessons ended with pressure on children and parents.

Now this same model is being transferred to kindergartens — to places where a child cannot critically assess information, and anything said by an adult is perceived as truth.
