Putin delivered a speech dedicated to Russia Day at the ceremony for presenting the Hero of Labor award and other state prizes

On June 12, Vladimir Putin presented Hero of Labor medals and other awards to recipients of state prizes in science and technology, literature, and the arts. The ceremony took place at the Grand Kremlin Palace.

At the start of his remarks, Putin congratulated everyone on Russia Day. In his speech, he called unity and patriotism the main values of Russians and noted that “all stages of the more than thousand-year path of our state are one single whole.”

Putin also mentioned participants in the war against Ukraine and said that “the entire Russian people” support them:

A sincere sense of responsibility for the Fatherland is close to each of us, and for the participants in the special military operation it is a reliable spiritual support, just like the support for our heroes from the entire Russian people, from the whole society.
