Pashinyan congratulated Putin on Russia Day

The congratulatory message from Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was published on the country’s government website.

“I am convinced that the multifaceted ties between the peoples of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation, as well as the mutual readiness for open and constructive dialogue based on respect for each other’s sovereignty and state interests, will continue to contribute to strengthening cooperation and making use of the full range of opportunities for collaboration between our countries,” the message says.

🔵After the signing of the law launching the process of Armenia’s accession to the European Union and the holding of the European Political Community summit in the capital in the spring of 2026, relations between Moscow and Yerevan began to deteriorate.

In particular, despite the fact that Armenia remains in the EAEU, Russia introduced a ban on the import of a number of goods from the country. On June 11, Rosselkhoznadzor restricted the import into Russia of all quarantine-regulated products from Armenia.
