Putin for the second time in four months increased the authorized strength of Russia’s Armed Forces by almost ten thousand people

This follows from a decree he signed.

According to the document, the authorized strength of Russia’s Armed Forces now stands at 2,399,130 people (previously it was 2,391,770), of whom 1,510,000 are service members (it was 1,502,604).

🔵The last time Vladimir Putin increased the authorized strength of Russian troops was in March 2026. At that time, roughly two thousand people were added to the rolls.
