In the Family Park in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan, drone shelters have been installed

Local residents have already nicknamed them “Putinkas,” by analogy with Khrushchev-era apartment blocks and Stalin-era buildings, the Telegram channel Govorit NeMoskva noted.

The city’s mayor, Radmir Belyaev, said this is a pilot project: the shelter is designed for 20 people and is meant to protect against shrapnel and blast waves during attacks. Similar structures are already being used in Belgorod.

We will look at all the nuances of the first facility, and then we plan to install such structures in other parks and squares in the city. Of course, we believe they will not have to be used for their intended purpose. But we must plan for every scenario,

the mayor wrote on his Telegram channel.

Enterprises in the city will also be offered the option of installing such shelters to protect employees.

🔵Earlier, similar concrete shelters to protect personnel were ordered by major retail chains — Pyaterochka, Azbuka Vkusa, Magnit, Lenta, and Komus. Pyaterochka is buying the largest number of shelters, about 90, for Voronezh, Kursk, Volgograd, Penza, Rostov, Samara, Saratov, and Tambov regions, Stavropol Krai, Adygea, and Krasnodar Krai.

🔵CDEK is also buying 11 reinforced-concrete mobile shelters for warehouse workers in St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Rostov, Yekaterinburg, Voronezh, and Novosibirsk.
