If I'm not mistaken, this was their first conversation since February 25. But I don't think that means anything significant. They could have discussed the upcoming G7 summit in Evian on June 15-17. They may have discussed the possibility of a bilateral meeting which, as The Guardian previously wrote, had not been planned. We'll see whether there are any details.
