The war through the eyes of Meduza readers. Today we are publishing a letter from an anonymous reader from Moscow

Beating each other with drones and missiles, thinking that this can produce the desired impression on anyone, is the height of idiocy in any case and from any side.

People in Russia who previously held a neutral or negative position toward the war will only be angered by this - or frightened and angered. That is how it was, is, and will be in any war, unless one of the participants is a banana republic that can simply be bombed into submission. And that is obviously not the case here.

What does this change? More fear, more hatred, more deaths - and no solution.

I am not afraid, ever since I realized that I cannot change anything in my life. We are all hostages and dead men walking in this war from its very beginning, on both sides of the border. Around me are people who feel and think about this no more than they did on its first day. In the morning we will wake up and go to work - if, of course, we do not die during the night. Everyone is fine, especially since summer is ahead and somehow it has to be spent.
