Redaction 🖼 Russian students who signed a contract with the Russian army will not be able to terminate it...

Russian students who signed a contract with the Russian army will not be able to terminate it of their own accord, despite the authorities' promises - exactly as expected.

In response to a request from the “Movement of Conscious Objectors,” Russia's Defense Ministry confirmed that students sign contracts for one year, but commanders may refuse to discharge them after that term expires. In other words, the contracts are de facto indefinite, since, as human rights defenders note, any refusals of discharge reports will be deemed lawful.

As we can see, all the stories about students being able to “take academic leave and go fight for a year under contract” turned out to be lies. It is confirmed again and again that all the Russian state can give its young people is a one-way trip into a “meat” assault.

The “Motherland” will deceive you and abandon you, son. Always.

Redaction One-Year Contracts Find No Exit Door

Students on one-year army contracts may be denied discharge after the term.

The promise expired, the order stayed.
