Putin congratulated Trump on his 80th birthday
Vladimir Putin today congratulated Donald Trump by phone on his 80th birthday, Putin aide Yuri Ushakov reported.
Trump, according to Ushakov, was touched by the congratulations and noted that Putin was the first to call the White House. No gift was sent to Trump from the Kremlin, but a written congratulatory message was sent.
Putin and Trump also discussed the war in Ukraine. Putin, according to Ushakov, said that “no attempts by the Kyiv regime to strike Russia will change the situation.”
In addition, Putin and Trump reportedly agreed that negotiators Witkoff and Kushner will come to Moscow again in the near future. No exact dates were given.
