Zelensky published fragments of documents that, according to him, end up on Putin's desk. They contain a forecast of Russia's internal political situation ahead of the State Duma elections on September 20, 2026.

🥸 According to the charts, approval of Putin's performance falls from 75-77% at the end of 2025 to 55% by voting day. Disapproval, by contrast, rises from roughly 14-15% to 33%. The document separately emphasizes that there will be no "reaching a plateau" before the election, meaning that the deterioration in public sentiment will continue.

🥸 A similar trend is projected for the ruling party. United Russia is forecast to have just 22% declared support. That is noticeably below the latest public VTsIOM data: at the end of May, the ruling party had around 32%, while approval of Putin stood at 66.6% and trust at 72.3%. So even official polling already shows a slump, but the internal forecast looks even worse.

🥸 Against this backdrop, support for alternative systemic parties is rising: New People to 17%, the Communist Party to 14%, the LDPR to 10%, and A Just Russia to 6%. The document also separately mentions growing protest potential: by September, the share of those who consider protests possible in their localities may increase to 21%.
