To the To Be Or post I want to add one consideration. Perhaps this is where the reason for the mass misses by the Pantsirs in Moscow lies. Not long ago, the Russian defense industry introduced new “anti-drone” missiles for the Pantsir, the TKB-1055 SAMs (pictured on the left). The logic is simple. UAVs do not fly far and they fly low, they are fragile, but there are many of them. You can fit more small missiles instead of large and heavy ones. New launch modules were supplied, for example, with the Pantsir-SMD-E system, the very same blocks that, judging by the video, were placed by helicopter on Moscow high-rises.

I would assume that the Russian defense industry failed to make a reliable and accurate missile on the first try under an accelerated schedule. And these very small SAMs are simply raw, unfinished. Incidentally, their use in Moscow may be indicated by the absence of footage showing the standard Pantsir missile launch canisters lying all over the place.
