Strike on a bus carrying children from Belarus in Bryansk Region. What are people saying about it?
On June 17, a drone attacked a passenger bus in Bryansk Region. There were 44 people on the bus, including 28 children. They were students of a sports school from the Belarusian city of Rechytsa who had been sent on vacation to Gelendzhik. As a result of the strike, a woman accompanying the team was killed. Six other people were injured, including four children.
Russian officials blamed the attack on “Ukrainian terrorists.” Ukrainian special services called the whole thing a provocation by Moscow. The Belarusian authorities and opposition assessed what happened in diametrically opposite ways, but agreed on one thing: people should not travel to Russia. We briefly recount the position of each side.
