Ukraine launched at least 992 drones at Russia in a single day
As outlet “Agentstvo” calculated based on statements from the Russian Defense Ministry, over the course of a day air defense forces shot down
✹ 992 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones,
✹ four long-range cruise missiles
✹ and ten guided aerial bombs.
At the same time, the ministry reports only the shells and drones that were shot down. In reality, Ukraine may have launched even more drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.
This strike not only broke the previous Ukrainian record for the number of drones used in a single day, but also exceeded the maximum number of drones Russia has launched in a day,
“Agentstvo” notes.
Thus, the biggest Russian strike on Ukraine since the start of the war took place on March 24. On that day, Russian forces launched 948 drones at Ukrainian territory over the course of a day.
Ukraine’s previous record strike was on June 6: the Russian Defense Ministry said air defense forces shot down 911 drones, 13 aerial bombs, and four HIMARS shells.
