According to the Russian Defense Ministry, air defense forces shot down 992 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones, four long-range cruise missiles, and ten guided aerial bombs over the course of a day. The ministry does not specify the number of drones that reached their targets, which suggests that the actual number of drones was higher, the outlet notes.

For its part, the largest Russian strike on Ukraine since the start of the war took place on March 24. Over that day, Russia attacked Ukraine with a total of 948 drones, 541 of which were shot down.
