The State Department has urged U.S. citizens not to travel to Russia or to leave because of drone strikes
This was reported on the website of the State Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs.
“Attacks and explosions involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have occurred near the border with Ukraine, as well as in major Russian cities,” it says.
At the end of December 2025, the U.S. State Department issued a Level 4 advisory for Russia, strongly recommending that American citizens refrain from traveling to Russia or leave the country immediately.
