Crimea bans riding mopeds and motorcycles at night

The restriction, the Russian-appointed authorities of the annexed peninsula said, is being introduced from June 17. The ban will be in effect from 20:00 to 06:00.

The main purpose of the restrictions is to "ensure public safety and protect military, important state, and special facilities."

Oleg Kryuchkov, an adviser to the head of Crimea, explained that the sounds of mopeds interfere with the work of firing groups. According to him, the sounds of motorcycle engines and drones are the same.
