Nighttime motorcycle travel banned in annexed Crimea

This was announced by the Russia-installed head of the peninsula, Sergey Aksyonov.

"A temporary restriction on the movement of motorcycles, mopeds, pit bikes, ATVs, scooters, and other motorized vehicles is being introduced in the Republic of Crimea from June 17, 2026, until further notice. The restrictions will be in effect from 20:00 to 6:00," he wrote.

According to him, the restriction is being introduced to ensure security and to protect military, state, and special facilities. Enforcement of the decree will be overseen by the republic's Interior Ministry.

Earlier, Aksyonov's adviser Oleg Kryuchkov said that loud motorized vehicles interfere with the work of mobile firing groups that repel drone attacks.
