The Kremlin says Putin did not receive an “official” invitation to the G7 summit for a meeting with Zelensky

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Putin had not received an invitation “through official channels.” “And there are no official channels between Moscow and Kyiv, as you know,” he added.

Peskov also once again voiced the proposal for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to “come to Moscow.”

“It has been said, and repeated several times, that if Zelensky is ready to talk responsibly and seriously, the Kyiv regime knows perfectly well about what, then he can always come to Moscow, where he will be received,” TASS quotes Peskov as saying.

🔵Earlier, media reported that Ukraine had proposed holding a meeting between Zelensky and Putin at the G7 summit, but received no response. Later, Zelensky said that Putin had refused to meet with him at the summit.
