At the military’s request, Rosaviatsia banned light aviation flights over the European part of Russia. Why? And how will this affect the industry?

The aviation community believes that the military decided to use this measure to fight Ukrainian drones. In recent months, the AFU have been striking Russian cities deep inside the country more and more often. Moscow and the Moscow region have also come under attack.

Now, after the ban was introduced, flight schools where pilots are trained may shut down. Along with them, the entire personnel training system is also under threat. Pilots interviewed by Meduza warned about this back in early June.
