Wildberries sellers will only be able to receive their first compensation payments for goods destroyed in drone attacks in mid-August. It is impossible to withdraw this money early

Marketplace Wildberries notified suppliers who lost goods at the warehouse in Elektrostal that they will only be able to withdraw the compensation credited on July 22 after August 10, almost a month after the drone attack. Sellers received this notice in the company’s internal system, Verstka noticed.

Messages about the accrual of a “support payment” began arriving to sellers on the evening of July 22. The notice says that sellers can see the amount in their balance, and it will also appear in the financial report for July 27 under the name “Voluntary payment for goods damaged as a result of force majeure circumstances.”

As the company stated, the money can be withdrawn “through the usual process and within the usual time frame.” At the same time, it will only be possible to request withdrawal of the payment on August 10, and it will be transferred to the settlement account by August 19 inclusive.

In профильных chats, sellers are asking how to withdraw the compensation they received in order to buy new goods to replace the lost ones. “WB sent the amount to the account. It’s unclear, of course. And you can’t withdraw it”, entrepreneurs say.

🟪Wildberries itself said that support for those affected is being provided in stages depending on the assessment of the consequences. According to the marketplace, it is currently making payments to sellers with a small remaining stock in order to expand the range of people who have received assistance.
