Russia Is Increasingly Becoming a Parody of Itself. Everything in It Is Turning Into Sham...
Russia is increasingly becoming a parody of itself. Everything in it is degenerating into sham.
That is normal. All such states, as they enter a pre-agonal condition, look very amusing.
The Aurus soap bubble has burst too.
The Russian "Rolls-Royce" itself was always an imitation of "development and respectability."
This lousy copy of a tricked-out Chinese jalopy was a purely political project.
It never had a single "reason to live" except Russia's eternal need for showmanship.
At this point the project is being wound down, and the enterprises that produced it are being shut down. All of this is logical, because
"Aurus" never became a car and remained a dummy cobbled together from Chinese fans and assorted junk.
"Well, we couldn't do it." Mass production of Putin's limousine will be shut down because of losses
Mass production of Russia's luxury Aurus automobiles turned out to be unprofitable, so the assembly site in Tatarstan is planned to be closed.
The project has in fact already failed and will be wound down, confirms an auto expert connected to the structures of NAMI, the state institute that developed Aurus: "Well, we couldn't turn the president's toy into a truly mass-produced brand, we just couldn't. There was plenty of ambition, but zero economic justification."

The Presidential Toy Failed Accounting
Aurus mass production proved unprofitable, and the Tatarstan assembly site is set to close.
Prestige stalled at the balance sheet.
