UNESCO has added the Chersonesus Taurica reserve to the list of World Heritage sites in danger

This decision regarding the reserve in annexed Crimea was made at the World Heritage Committee session taking place in Busan, South Korea, on July 19-29.

Ukrainian authorities had sought the inclusion of "Chersonesus Taurica and its chorae" on the list. Ukraine emphasizes that excavations and construction on the territory of the reserve after Russia's annexation of Crimea are causing irreparable damage to Chersonesus Taurica.
