They plan to add family chats, themed communities, and news feeds to Gosuslugi

They plan to create a universal digital ecosystem on the basis of Russia's Gosuslugi portal, the office of Deputy Prime Minister and government chief of staff Dmitry Grigorenko told TASS. A final decision on the service's development strategy has not yet been made, and discussions are ongoing.

On July 22, Izvestia wrote about plans to add some social media functions to Gosuslugi, citing sources. According to the publication's interlocutors, the possible appearance within Gosuslugi of family chats, themed communities, and a news feed about cultural, sports, tourism, and volunteer events is under discussion.

The new features are being discussed as part of the Gosuslugi development strategy through 2035, Izvestia's sources say.
