EU Imposes Sanctions on Putin’s “Spiritual Father” Tikhon Shevkunov

The European Union added more than 80 individuals and companies to its sanctions list, including Metropolitan Tikhon Shevkunov of Simferopol and Crimea, who is referred to as Vladimir Putin’s spiritual father.

Also placed under sanctions were Anatoly Kuzichev, host of the Channel One talk show “Time Will Tell,” Russia’s prosecutor general Alexander Gutsan, Z-bloggers, and several Russian judges. Among them was Supreme Court judge Oleg Nefedov, who issued the rulings declaring the “LGBT movement” and the “satanism movement” extremist, as well as the ruling legalizing the Taliban.
