More than 1,100 foreigners received Russia’s “traditional values visa” in 2025

More than 1,100 foreigners received visas to Russia in 2025 as people who share “traditional Russian spiritual and moral values,” Alexey Klimov, head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s consular department, told RIA Novosti.

He noted that most visas were issued to German citizens, 168; French citizens came next, with 140; and the United States rounded out the top three, with 105. He also said that citizens of Estonia, Latvia, Canada, Lithuania, and Australia received visas.

💜Earlier, Verstka wrote that the popularity of “voluntary resettlement” has fallen almost twofold during the war. In 2023, foreigners of draft age submitted three times fewer applications to take part in voluntary resettlement than in 2021.
