Lowest possible Unified State Exam scores set for admission to the FSO Academy’s IT programs

The FSO Academy plans to admit students to its IT programs with the lowest Unified State Exam scores allowed for entry into Russian universities, according to a draft order by the Federal Protective Service, as noted by “Verstka.”

The document states that admission to programs such as “Information Security of Telecommunication Systems” and “Infocommunication Technologies and Special Communications Systems,” for example, will require at least 36 USE points in Russian, 27 in advanced mathematics, 36 in physics, and 40 in computer science.

A fourth specialty, “state protection,” also requires 36 points in Russian and two other subjects: social studies (42 points) and history (32 points).

These figures match the minimum scores set by Rosobrnadzor for these subjects for admission to universities across the country. At the same time, even at educational institutions ranked at the very bottom of the Interfax group’s National University Ranking, the requirements are higher.

For example, Norilsk State Industrial Institute named after N.M. Fedorovsky in Norilsk (381st place) requires applicants to “Information Systems and Technologies” to score at least 40 points in advanced mathematics and Russian, 46 in computer science, and 41 in physics.
