The government wants to turn Gosuslugi into a social network with a feed and chats, Izvestia writes, citing sources.

According to the newspaper, the Russian government is discussing a development strategy for the Gosuslugi portal through 2035, under which the service could turn into a universal digital platform. One of the areas is creating its own social network on the basis of the portal, with a publication feed, chats, as well as the ability to form thematic and local communities.

“Gosuslugi has an important advantage: every user is reliably verified. Because of this, it becomes possible to create максимально protected interaction between people, businesses, and government bodies. We are working to realize the platform’s potential in this direction as well,” the press service of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko said.
