Ukraine proposed holding a meeting between Zelensky and Putin at the G7 summit but received no response, says RBC-Ukraine

Some time ago, Ukraine sent Russia a proposal for a meeting between Zelensky and Putin at the G7 summit to discuss paths toward a peace agreement, writes RBC-Ukraine, citing a source.

The proposal called for talks between Zelensky and Putin in the presence of G7 leaders, in particular U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to the source, Ukraine did not receive a “clear response” from Russia; instead, Putin aide Fyodor Ushakov suggested they should “come to Moscow.”

The RBC-Ukraine source says that this was also followed by shelling from the Russian army, which Ukraine also regarded as a “response” to the proposal.
