Oleg Kuvaev, the creator of “Masyanya,” has been sentenced in absentia to four years and one month in a penal colony.

The Nevsky District Court of St. Petersburg found the animator guilty of public calls for actions against Russia’s security and of evading the duties of a foreign agent. According to investigators, in 2023 he posted an episode of “Masyanya” on YouTube calling on Russian servicemen to surrender and desert, Kommersant writes.
